So it begins! Days1-2

I looked through my emails - trying to organize all of the ones pertaining to the home renovation project - and realized that we passed the one year mark of actually planning this a few weeks ago. Over a year in the making, we are finally putting plan/option "J" into place.

The crew came on Wednesday to set up the fencing and do some initial prep work on the yard. The black stuff in the photos is silt fencing that should protect from an apparently massive amount of soil from escaping into the neighbor's yard.

The orange line gives you an idea of the size of the impending hole.

More silt fence and a view of the plants that they all moved. Unfortunately the two dogwoods that were on this side of the yard had to be removed. I guess it is the cost of progress.

When they came back to the house on Thursday, they brought some help
